Documents Required at Immigration Department

Documents and information required by employers for application procedures:

 

  1. A copy of the employer's Hong Kong identity card. 

  2. Copy of recent address proof documents, such as: water/electricity/gas/indoor phone bills/rate bills.

  3. Copy of personal or family income proof document.

Tax bill with an annual salary of not less than HK$180,000

Or the most recent 3-month payment record - monthly salary not less than $15,000.00 (automatic transfer)

Or a bank deposit statement of not less than HK$350,000 in the latest 6 months (calculated as one worker employed)

Family member information:

Name, date of birth, ID number

 

Old worker profile:

Name, ID number, and date of resignation upon expiry of the contract

If living in a government public housing estate
If the government housing is purchased, a copy of the address proof is required to provide a copy of the rate,
If the government housing is rented, you need to provide the lease and a copy of the water or electricity or gas bill)

After that, you need to apply for a foreign domestic helper's temporary residence permit at the Housing Department office of the relevant housing estate

(The employer must bring the application form for the temporary residence permit, the notarized contract and a photocopy of the worker’s passport to the housing estate/housing office to apply for the temporary residence permit for the foreign domestic helper. It usually takes five to seven days to complete the process)

copy of proof of income

– Employer’s latest tax bill (the latest tax assessment and tax payment notice issued by the Inland Revenue Department); to prove that the employer’s annual salary exceeds HK$180,000 or
– Proof of auto-transfer ‘salary’ account for the last 3 consecutive months or monthly salary above HK$15,000 or
– Fixed or current deposits/bank deposits exceeding HK$350,000. (350,000 or above for the last 6 consecutive months)
